Ring in the New Year

New Years always bring the promise of better times, usually in the form of an age-old tradition called the New Year’s Resolution. While this is meant to be a good thing, the process has been so bastardized that it no longer has any meaning.

People are more concerned with just having one than they are in actually fulfilling it, which results in everyone quitting on these half-assed goals they set for themselves.

I, personally, do not like these resolutions.

I try to always have something to improve upon. My life is a constant journey towards progress in some way. I find it easier to manage a selection of smaller goals that always build upon each other than it is to tackle monumental tasks that are usually unreasonable.

I think it’s healthy to set goals, and you should always be working to improve yourself in some way. You don’t need to wait for a new year to get in gear. The best thing you can do for yourself is improve, to better your life in some way. Each day brings the opportunity for this, not each year.

And even though I just said I hate New Year’s Resolutions, I am implementing a new kind of awesome on this site. This awesome will be in the form of Daily Badass Exercises, which will all be positive, and for anyone to do. They start tomorrow. All are welcome to participate, and I look forward to seeing your comments on them!

Stay sexy,
-Dan
